Governor’s picks have long track records that show integrity and dedication to a healthy Colorado for all citizens
Colorado — Today, Animal Wellness Action and Center for a Humane Economy of Colorado issued a statement on news that Jack Murphy and Gary Skiba have been appointed to our state Parks and Wildlife Commission.

Murphy has been running a wildlife rescue called Urban Wildlife Rescue for the past 35 years and is a wildlife rehabilitator and a nonlethal humane wildlife control operator.
Skiba has a history of working for the state wildlife agency for 23 years, and throughout his career has focused on threatened and endangered species, as well as biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management.
Julie Marshall, Colorado State Director of Animal Wellness Action, issued the following statement:
“We applaud Gov. Jared Polis and DNR Director Dan Gibbs for these stellar selections of Coloradans who have long proven their dedication to Colorado’s wildlife and wild places for all citizens. Murphy is a leader in humane wildlife control and Skiba has an impressive background in endangered species protection. Both candidates have proven their integrity and worthiness and Colorado should be proud to have them in these leadership positions to ensure a healthy future for all Coloradans who enjoy and wish to protect our parks and wildlife.”
