Elect Federal Lawmakers Who Will Stand Up for Animals

Animal protection gains don’t just materialize. They are the product of extensive campaigning and political engagement.

And an essential ingredient in our success is helping to elect lawmakers who care about animals and to defeat candidates (including members of Congress) who fight mainstream policies to help animals.

And to be sure, factory farmers, trophy hunters, animal-testing companies, and others fight us every step of the way. They spend millions to influence lawmakers and work with them to thwart our agenda.

Because we are in a space with so many adversaries seeking to retain the status quo, we have to raise funds and to support candidates who care about animals.

Animal Wellness Action has helped secure some of the most important federal animal-protection victories in modern history — outlawing animal fighting on every inch of U.S. soil, passing a federal anti-cruelty statute, eliminating an 84-year-old animal-testing mandate for experimental drugs, halting the trade in big cats as pets and commercial props for cub petting, and discarding a cow’s milk mandate in the National School Lunch Program.

Animal Wellness Action PAC exists for one purpose: To help elect lawmakers who will continue that progress.
