Washington, D.C. — Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy announce the hiring of Samantha Miller as Colorado State Director. The previous state director, Julie Marshall, is now Director of Public Relations for the organizations. Joseph Grove is now Sr. Director of Communications.
Animal Wellness Action focuses on public policy and enforcement of existing laws and regulations to protect animals, while the Center for a Humane Economy urges corporations to include animal welfare in their supply chains, R&D programs, and other operations, thereby creating a more humane economic order.
“Samantha Miller has deep and rich experience in influencing government and building coalitions to adopt sound wildlife policies that promote safety for animals and people,” said Wayne Pacelle, president of Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy. “She’s going to play a crucial role in Colorado in 2024, working with our entire team in Colorado and thousands of our supporters, to halt cruel and unsporting trophy hunting and commercial trapping practices.”
